We tear it down. We haul it away. One call covers both. Shed teardowns, deck removal, fence removal, interior demo, and more. Serving Jackson, Battle Creek, and 20+ cities. Call 517-960-9232.
Long Haul Dumpsters handles light residential demolition with debris hauling included. The job most homeowners need is straightforward: something needs to come down and the debris needs to disappear. The problem is that most contractors either do the teardown and leave the debris, or do junk removal but won't touch structural work. Long Haul does both. One call, one crew, one visit.
The projects in scope: shed teardowns, deck removal, fence removal, detached garage demolition, outbuilding removal, and interior demolition for renovation prep — drywall, flooring, cabinetry, fixtures, and non-load-bearing walls. All debris is hauled off site as part of the same job.
Out of scope: Full structural demolition of occupied homes, asbestos abatement, large-scale commercial demolition, and anything requiring licensed structural engineering. If your project involves asbestos-containing materials, stop and call a licensed abatement contractor before any demo work begins.
Call 517-960-9232 and describe what needs to come down. You will receive an upfront quote that covers both the teardown and debris removal before any work begins.
Project Types
Wood sheds, metal sheds, old garden structures, and outbuildings past their useful life. We dismantle the structure completely, remove the debris, and leave the site clean. Concrete slabs and footings can be addressed — call to discuss scope.
Attached and freestanding decks in any condition. We strip the decking, remove the framing and posts, and haul all material away. If you are replacing the deck, we can time removal to coordinate with your contractor's start date.
Wood, chain link, vinyl, and wire fencing. Full fence line removal including posts. We pull the posts, fill the holes, and haul everything away. Partial fence removal and section replacement prep also handled.
Older detached garages on residential properties, particularly common on pre-war housing stock throughout Southeast Michigan. We handle the teardown and debris removal. Foundation and slab scope varies by project — call to discuss.
Demo work to prepare a space for renovation — removing drywall, stripping flooring, pulling cabinetry, removing fixtures, and taking out non-load-bearing walls. All debris is hauled away as part of the job. If you prefer to handle your own interior demo over multiple days, we also offer dumpster rental for the debris.
Barns, chicken coops, old workshop structures, pole buildings in poor condition, and similar outbuildings on residential and rural properties. Scope varies significantly by structure size and condition — call with a description and photos if available.
Long Haul Dumpsters does not handle: full structural demolition of occupied homes, asbestos abatement or materials containing asbestos, large-scale commercial demolition, or work requiring licensed structural engineering.
If your project involves asbestos-containing materials — particularly insulation, old floor tiles, or textured ceilings in homes built before 1980 — do not disturb the material and contact a licensed Michigan asbestos abatement contractor before any demo work begins.
Why One Call Matters
You call a demolition contractor. They tear down the shed. They leave the debris in your yard.
You then call a dumpster company or junk removal service for the debris. You coordinate two crews, two schedules, two quotes, and two invoices.
Meanwhile, the debris sits.
You call once.
We provide an upfront quote that covers the teardown and debris removal in the same visit. One crew. One schedule. One price.
When we leave, the structure is gone and the site is clean.
The Process
Call Mike at 517-960-9232 and describe what needs to come down. Structure type, approximate size, access conditions, and location. Photos help for larger structures — send them to the number above before or during the call. We provide an upfront quote before scheduling.
Our crew arrives at the scheduled time and handles the full teardown. If asbestos or hazardous materials are found during demo, work stops and we advise you on next steps before proceeding.
Everything comes out in the same visit. No debris left behind. No secondary call to arrange pickup. Material is disposed of at licensed facilities in accordance with state and local regulations.
Doing Your Own Demo?
Some homeowners handle their own interior demo — stripping floors, pulling drywall, gutting a bathroom or kitchen — and need a container on site for the debris rather than a crew.
Long Haul delivers 15-yard and 25-yard dumpsters across Southeast Michigan. The 15-yard at $400 covers most single-room demo jobs. The 25-yard at $500 handles larger multi-room or whole-floor projects. Both include a 3-day rental period, delivery, and pickup.
If you are not sure whether to hire us for demo and removal or rent a container and do the work yourself, call 517-960-9232. Mike will tell you which makes more sense for your project based on the scope and your timeline.
