Driveway-Safe Dumpster Rental

Rubber Wheel Dumpster Rental in Southeast Michigan

A trailer-mounted dumpster that sits on rubber tires, not bare steel. Your driveway stays undamaged. Same price as a standard roll-off. Serving 25 cities across Southeast Michigan from our Horton, MI base.

What Is a Rubber Wheel Dumpster?

A rubber wheel dumpster is a trailer-mounted waste container that sits on rubber tires. It is delivered by backing a truck and trailer into your desired spot, locking the wheels in place, and unhitching the trailer. The container stays elevated on its tires for the entire rental period. Nothing bare ever touches your driveway surface.

The traditional alternative — a roll-off dumpster — works differently. A roll-off gets tilted up on a specialized truck and slid off onto steel skids that rest directly on the ground. Those skids make metal-to-surface contact with your driveway under the full weight of an empty container. When the job is done and the dumpster is picked up, that same dragging action happens again in reverse.

On a gravel driveway or a job site, that contact does not matter. On concrete, asphalt, stamped concrete, or pavers, it can leave marks you did not plan for and a repair bill you did not budget.

A rubber wheel dumpster eliminates that outcome entirely. Long Haul Dumpsters carries rubber wheel units in both available sizes — 15-yard and 25-yard — and delivers them at the same price as standard roll-offs across all 25 cities in our Southeast Michigan service area.

Roll-Off vs. Rubber Wheel

The Difference Is Where the Weight Goes.

Roll-Off Dumpster

Slides off a truck on steel skids and rests on the ground surface. Steel makes direct contact with your driveway for the full rental period and again on pickup.

Surface Compatibility:

  • Gravel driveways
  • Dirt and packed earth
  • Job site ground
  • Old asphalt in good condition
  • New concrete — risk of scratching
  • New or sealed asphalt — risk of gouging
  • Stamped or decorative concrete — risk of cracking
  • Pavers — risk of surface displacement

Weight distribution: Steel skids concentrate load at four contact points on the driveway surface.

RECOMMENDED FOR DRIVEWAYS

Rubber Wheel Dumpster

Backed into position on a trailer pulled by a standard truck. Sits on rubber tires for the entire rental period. Wheels are chocked after placement. No bare metal contacts the surface at any point.

Surface Compatibility:

  • New concrete — safe
  • New or sealed asphalt — safe
  • Stamped and decorative concrete — safe
  • Pavers and brick — safe
  • Gravel driveways — safe
  • Old asphalt — safe

Weight distribution: Rubber tires distribute the container's weight across a larger footprint, reducing surface pressure at any single point.

Who Should Book the Rubber Wheel Option

Two Types of Customers Ask for This. Both Are Right.

Homeowners

Anyone with a finished driveway and a project that generates debris should default to the rubber wheel option. The $0 upcharge makes the decision straightforward.

Book rubber wheel if you have:

  • A concrete driveway installed in the last 10 years
  • Asphalt that was sealed or repaved recently
  • Stamped, colored, or decorative concrete
  • Pavers or brick driveway surfaces
  • Any surface you would notice a scratch on
  • A homeowner's association with property standards

Contractors

Contractors working residential jobs carry liability for property damage. A driveway crack caused by a roll-off dumpster is a dispute you do not want. The rubber wheel option removes that risk at no additional cost.

Book rubber wheel for:

  • Any residential job site with a finished driveway
  • Projects where the homeowner specified no surface damage
  • Tight driveways where precise trailer placement is an advantage
  • Jobs where you are managing multiple subcontractors and need one less problem
  • Any situation where you want the receipt to show you chose the driveway-safe option

The Delivery Process

How a Rubber Wheel Dumpster Gets to Your Driveway.

1

We Back It In

The rubber wheel dumpster rides on a trailer hitched to our truck. We back the trailer into your driveway and position the container exactly where you need it. Because it rolls rather than slides, we can place it with precision even in tighter spaces where a roll-off truck would have difficulty maneuvering.

2

Wheels Get Chocked, Trailer Disconnects

Once the container is in position, we chock the wheels so it cannot roll and unhitch the trailer from the truck. The container sits independently on your driveway, resting on rubber tires. Your surface underneath remains undisturbed.

3

You Fill It, We Pick It Up

Load your debris over the rental period. When you are done, call to schedule pickup. We rehitch the trailer, remove the chocks, and pull the container off your property — again on rubber tires, no dragging. Your driveway looks the same as it did before we arrived.
